The terms of using Diffscroll.

Diffscroll is free to download and use. These terms cover what you can expect from it and what it expects from you.

Using it

You may install and use Diffscroll on any computer you control, for personal or commercial work, at no cost. No account and no licence key is required.

Diffscroll is not open source. You may not redistribute modified builds, resell it, or present it as your own product. Sharing a link to the download is welcome.

Your code stays yours

Diffscroll reads repositories you point it at and claims no rights over anything it displays. It is read-only and does not change the repositories it opens.

No warranty

Diffscroll is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is a reading tool, and it can be wrong: a rendering can lag, a repository state can be reported incorrectly, and a release can carry a bug. Treat it as an aid to review rather than the authority on what your repository contains. Git itself remains the authority.

To the extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from using it, including a change you approved or missed while reading it here.

Verifying what you install

Windows builds are signed and timestamped, and every release publishes a SHA-256 for each file. A build obtained anywhere other than this site or the linked release page is not covered by anything said here, and may not be the software described on this page.

Changes and availability

These terms may change, and future releases may add, alter, or remove features. Nothing here promises that Diffscroll keeps being published or keeps working on a future version of your operating system. A build you have already installed keeps working as long as your system runs it, since it needs no server.
